NIT MANIPUR alumni

College management is very poor. As NIT MANIPUR is a new NIT, we faced a lot of issues regarding faculties, hostel, academics, transportation, placement drives,etc. For daily classes we have to go different locations on different days depending on the subject we had in that particular day. In brief, we had face lot of difficulties during my B Tech journey of 4 years.

The entire syllabus follows AICT norms. Syllabus is ok but the most of the faculties are on contract basis and don't have much teaching experience. We faced a bit problematic in managing our academic. But anyhow we managed and cleared all semester exams and got degree certificate.

Very rare number of companies visited in our campus. Most of the placement drives were for entire North East pool campus. And in this pool campus getting placed is bit tough competitive. Regarding internship, we have to search ourselves and joined there accordingly.

We have technical cum cultural festival know as ougri festival which is tentatively scheduled in d last week of March. Number participants is approximately around 1000. This festival is popular in the state and its celebrated in the state level. In our time we organized Isro exhibition and that event was the first Isro exhibition in the state.

Different semester has different amounts and average semester fee is around 65000. Payments are transparent but the issue is that amount we spend and facilities they provide is inappropriate. Even they could not provide enough hostels for the students. They instructed us managed with the existing few numbers of hostels. We were uncomfortable in the hostel.

I got scholarship under ministry of minority affairs government of India under scheme name Merit cum means scholarship which gave an annual sum of 28000. Regarding education loan, I took education loan from United Bank of India.

Gender ratio is around 3:1(male:female). We had some workshops on different technologies. Regarding extra curricular, we didn't have much facilities as our college was under construction during our time. Robotics workshops were done one time. And regarding labs, it's average not that much good not that much bad.

Yes, hostel room are sharing basis. In a small room we have to stay 3 people. They provide free wifi. In hostel there is no facilities for exercise and work out like Gym. Mess food is also not good. Regarding mess, there were many unwanted incidents that leads to shut down of college for many days.

Regarding alumni, we have a alumni association but this association is not very active. We don't have any alumni meet in the campus.

Through JEE main exam and its central counseling I got NIT MANIPUR in Electronics and Communication Engineering. After completing central counseling I went NIT MANIPUR campus and there I did all necessary registration and thus I got admitted in NIT MANIPUR.

Number of lectures in each department is not sufficient but anyhow they managed with that number of faculties. Average age of the faculties will be around 30 years. Most of the faculties are M Tech and B Tech and a few faculties with Ph Degree. Most of the faculties do not hold any relevant industry experience or certification.
