Orissa Engineering college

Placement percentage need to increase.College infrastructure need to improve.

Orissa Engineering college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of technology,Rourkela.There are 8 semester exam during the entire course of 4 years.In our curriculum all day to day technology application being taught.I did project at Neelachal ispat nigam limited,Jaipur,Orissa on "Efficiency of boiler" for 1 month.

Placement is average.Mainly software company came for campus like Amrica,TCS,Wipro,Tech Mahindra etc.C college organised mock practice paper for clearing interview.Approx 40% students placed every year.

Yearly technical fest & cultural fest organised by college in which many completion will be there like Robotics,hide & seek etc.People from other institute also participated.Pruce money will be there for winners.At end we will invite celebrity for stage performance.

College fee is feasible.At time of admission you have to pay fee for the first year including security deposit which is 108000.For every semester you have to pay semester registration fee of Rs.1500.From 2nd year fee will ne 95000. So total expense ro complete the course will be 400000 with accommodation.

I got scholarship from jharkhand government & education loan of 40000 from oriental bank of commerce at 11.5% interest rate.

There is no discrimination with respect to geder,religion,cast,birth place,race,ethinicity.There is no ragging. There is no fight.Every student can organise any event & also participate in any event.There is no different rules for boys & girls separately.

For 1st year you can opt for hostel & from 2nd year no hostel will be provided.You have to search outside in city.Bus facility was there with cost of 12000 per year.We taken 2 bhk house in city for which rent was 8000 per month.

Yes,during placement time they guided how to prepare for interview,how to prepare project,how to study for semester exams.

After completing 12th I took OJEE (Orissa Joint entrance exam) & Jee Mains.Based on the OJEE rank I did counselling.There I chose five college in which Orissa Engineering college was on 2nd number.On first I chose Silicon institute of technology as it has better placement percentage than Orissa Engineering college.

Every faculty was good in demonstrating & teaching.Daily college will be of 8 hours having 7 lectures of different subject every day.Sumday will be leave.Before semester exam there will be internal test for every subject.Most of the faculty had done M.Tech.
