Remarks

collegee Management was fine but needs to work in placement sectors which matters the most at the end. There is no point in having a good academic Management and not having a good placement management.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was very good.It provides knowledge in wide range of areas expanding from Manufacturing to Powerplant engineering, Design engineering to Automobile sectors. It also includes entrepreneurship development, personality development, organizational behavior, computer programming (e.g programming in C, DBMS,Data structure using C),macro economics and businesses communication. Moreover it is designed to make students research oriented as well as to make them industial professionals. My college had organized a industrial visit to Vizag stell palnt,Vishakhapatnam for three days to give a prcatical view of industrail working culture and role of engineers.

Placement Experience

1

Honestly the campus and placement of my college is very poor. Not a single company came in my time while I was pursuing my course. It resulted most of my friends and me start preparing for various Govt. examinations.

College Events

3

One of the technical event that my college had organized was Festronix which included various technical exhibitions. It had also hosted cultural events which included song, dance and other curricular activities.I have participated in all of them. It generates a friendly atomosphere in my college and gives a refreshing mind to the techies to read even more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was moderate in my time. The college accepts payemts in online to Demand drafts. No extra fee levied from me.But when it is about transperancy in fee breakdown, the officials of college quite negotiates with it. They didn't act according to the rules of universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had only got 12000/- as scholarship. My Father who is a home tutor had saved someoney for my graduation course and with help of some village loans made me possible to avail my course.

Campus Life

3.5

There is no disparity in gender, race, cast, ethincity, religion and everyone was given ample opportunity to learn and excel in thier career. The labs were very good, quite updated with new mechanical enginees. All of the devices and enginees in the lab were functioning. Weekly online tests were conducted to make ourselves practice so that we can perform better in internal and semester examinations. Debate, essay, story writing competitions were also organized each year.

Hostel Facilities

3

yes,As the college is located in quite remote area I opted for hostel. It saved my time for travel, hostel atmosphere was very good. Whenever I have any doubt I can approach my seniors and they clear it up.

Alumni/Alumna

Honestly, there is a gap in this filed of Alumni network. And those I have contact with are not heplful in nature. Example I am working in a small company on contractual basis with lower salery with no assured job. I had approached my seniors and friends. They aren't helping me out.Sometime I think It's not also their problem. May be it is difficult for them to get me placed which will give me assured job.

Admission

I was very keen to learn about science from childhood and the reason I opted for Mechanical Engineering is learn about to learn how application of science in Industries can bring changes in lives of people by creating wealth and reducing human effort.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties of my college are very good. Most of them were young around 26 to 30. They always stick to the course and covers it in time. They were much clear and have previous industrial exposure about the subjects they teach. All of them have done Master's degree courses and even some of them have done Phd.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students. The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini. The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
