Remarks

This college was my dream college and my dream really came true. I was really keen to pursue Chemistry Hons. From this college and I'm doing it. Faculty here is of exceptional standards. They teach you everything in great depth and engage with every student present in the class. Also, students are given time to ask doubts in person with them. Practicals are taught with great efficiency. Regular assignments are given to the students to keep them updated with the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

One of the main reasons why I got enrolled in this college is the type of faculty that this college provides to its students. Faculty, truly speaking, is of exceptional standards. Our professors are holding a PhD degree and are really good when it comes to teaching. Eventually, the professor addresses to each and every query for all students in a class. Also, after class, one can even ask doubts in person. Even, assignments are given regularly and tests are held on a regular basis so as to evaluate students in a continuous manner.

Internships Opportunities

4

In the college, there is a campus placement cell which updates students related to internships and jobs in various fields. Companies like Calvin Klein, Google, Microsoft provide internships to students with a good stipend and other perks like certificate and Letter of recommendation too. For selection in an internship, one should have a good resume and has to clear an interview or a Group Disscussion as mandated by the company.

Placement Experience

4.5

The student from 5th semester become eligible for campus placement. Companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Google, etc usually come to offer a good number of jobs to students. Last year, the highest, lowest and average package was- 2.5L, 60K and 80K. Last year, around 47.4% of students were placed. My plans are basically to pursue a Masters in Chemistry and then do research in the desired field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is somewhat different from other DU colleges. Fees for this course is- 40000 per annum. Apart from this, various scholarships are provided by the college namely- Sumitomo scholarship, JB Prasad scholarship, etc. Also, there is a campus placement cell in the college which regularly updates students regarding internships, jobs offered by various companies.

Campus Life

4.5

Societies are the best part of college. I guess this is the only college in DU having around 50 active societies and selection is not done on the basis of a process. Anyone can join any society of their will. Societies like Debating, Dramatics, Poetry, Quiz, Choreography, etc are really great. The library is pretty well stocked and one can find every book ranging from literature to science books.

Interview Experience

4

So, firstly one has to clear the cut-off. Then, an aptitude test is conducted for all selected candidates and after that, an interview is conducted by the respective faculty. In the interview, they will ask simple questions about you and questions related to the course you are opting and why you wanna pursue this course. Basically, one has showcase his quality of impressing others by his communication skills, show confidence while telling your answers. So, improve communication skills and confidence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
