Wonderful college

The college in general is a nice place and the time spent will be memorable.

They have 3 internal examinations and one external examination throughout a semester. Since it is an autonomous college and affiliated to VTU, the curriculum is specifically groomed to provide industry specific knowledge to students. The faculty is always open to help the students in there after hours. We deal with on hand practical experience, which ofcourse is better for the upcoming challenges we face.

College has good placements for CS and IS branch a students, rest of us, if lucky are selected for mass recruitment in companies.

We have intra college fest in the odd semester and an inter College fest in the even semester. Technical talks and other activities happen frequently. We have a cultural fest department, the CPA which basically manages all the fests and cultural activities. Apart from that, every department also has their fest and everyone can participate in the same.

The college fee for comedk admitted students is expensive. We pay 2.08 lakhs per annum for the course while the local students who are from another entrance exam, CET are supposed to pay around 80,000 per annum. The college does provide transperancy in the fee breakdown. There are no additional costs for comedk students.

I didn't opt for any such thing but the college does have some scholarship program for the local students.

There is a ratio of 2:1 for male and female students in general. The college is diverse. There is a basketball and football field along with a volleyball field. Interested students can opt for the same. The campus life in general is nothing extra ordinary.

I opted for hostel in my first year. College has two hostels for male students. One is the Indian one which is 4 sharing and an NRI hostel which is two sharing. Both the hostels are clean and decent. The Indian one is cheaper than the NRI one. Both have separate mess.

Seniors are always ready to help the juniors in any way possible. They are clear with their experiences which provide us a clarity of thought.

I got into this college through an all India entrance examination, Comedk. This is only for colleges in Karnataka. I chose this course because I am aiming to do an MBA after my engineering and this course already has a part of management in my curriculum. I chose this college because it is one of the top five engineering colleges in Bangalore.

Industrial engineering and management has around 9 faculties with everyone having atleast a master's degree in their respective forte. They provide good notes and lectures. They can be approached after classes for doubts or any other issues. They are present in the college from 9am to 5pm.
