Remarks

I choose this college for its good infrastructure, quality education, and good labs for machine learning and a large seminar hall. The canteen and medical facilities are also good. Best college life experiences. The first day of college attracts me.

Course Curriculum Overview

Qualified teachers and professors are good, experienced, and helpful. Curriculums are convenient and updated from time to time. Exams are not too hard medium difficult and invigilators have strictly followed the rule.

Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

From 6th to 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Top recruiting companies like Tata, Microsoft, Wipro, Amazon etc. Visit for campusing in NiT. Placements are intermediate in NiT it's not bad at all.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a little bit expensive. B.tech in Electrical Engineering cost, approximately rs 45000 per semester, the amount is depending on the semester. And the total cost of 4 years rs 407000.

Campus Life

College Life is the best part of the College. Neither you get a lot of friends but also get good, helpful, and friendly seniors and teachers. NiT has it won annual fest called "NAVODAYA" and tech fest called "KRITANJ". Also a Theatre group "SPARSH" run by students. Sports events, extracurricular activities, yoga, Marathon are also available in NiT.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The overall campus life and experience is good . Good infrastructure and very nice events.

I applied to scotting church and jis university also. I prefered this college as it is affordable with good reputation and is near my home . I achived 15000 rank in wbjee so according to my rank and location i choose this college. I visit some more colleges like techno india,brai ware univerty etc but at least all of my criteria matched in this college.
