Entrance Preview

I appered in AIEEE 2012, i got air 46647 college record is very good for mechanical engineering. It is under west bengal university of technology currently name change now it is maulana abul kalam azad university of technology.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is 4 year course. divided in 8 semester. There are 41 theory subject and 32 lab including grand viva, seminar, project, group discussion. there are are 100 internal exam during course.

Internships Opportunities

I had gone to garden reach and shipbuilders engineering limited for vacation training for one month. We had not get any stipend during training session.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are fairly well. There are lots of company visited in our college every year generally 50 % of student get placed from college campus.

There are so many function . saraswati puja, vishawkarma puja, teacher's day, fresher party college cricket tournament, college foot ball league, tech fest, cultural fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee of our college is 329000 and it is generally increase 8000 per year for new admission. This is feasible. There are some facility for reserved category.

There is few scholarship for minority student. and loan facility are there i have also taken loan from united bank of india.

Campus life is really well. It gives you so much experience for your future. Exam are held during nov- dec for odd sem exam and may-june for even sem exam. There are generally 5/6 paper of written exam.

The hostel life is really enjoyable, and memorable life. Very good lodging and fooding facility are available at very cheap price.

Yes senior students are really good they help me a lot during my first and second year study and they also suggest me for my future, There are many senior who are working in reputed institute and company.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
