An interesting and fun learning experience

College is good with good faculty, facilities and place records. The infrastructure and college location is a setback but they have certainly made noticeable improvements in tha past years.

Took WBJEE entrance exams to get into this college, after scoring around 8000 rank. Opted for this college since the placement records were very good.

Course currisulum consisted of all WBUT suggested subjects in the electrical fields, since i chose electrical as my subject. Electives were a few IT and electronics subjects. We had su jects like c from IT, network operators, CAN, etc.

We did not have internships in our curriculum. We had industrial visits in 3rd year which we had to arrange for ourselves, using various sources. We went to power plants and electical generation units and dis field studies of the same.

Placements were really good. More than 90% got placed. Most ended up with dual offers. IT giants like infosys and cognizant came.

We had college fest every year and some tournaments. Cultural shows happened in teachers day. Not much events we had at out time in the college.football and cricket and badminton tournaments happened often.

Fee structure was feasible. They allowed students with loans. They had strict fee policy and flexibili to pay in various ways. We had to pay 22000 per semester in our 4 yr course for engineering.

No idea about loan. Many students availed loans. They seemed quite happy with the structure. We had tie ups with axis bank for loans.

We has good extra curricular activities. Also before placement we were given rigorous training on how to crack group discussion and personal interviews.

Did jot stay in the hostel. Hence, no comments. But the canteen was not that good. Foo was bad and unhygenic. We mostly brought food from home. Situation might be different now though.

Alumni would meet up once every year and suggest changes or help out with the placement link ups. They would share personal experiences related with placements and interviews.

Exams and labs were quite frequent. It was he tic but then again it was good for our semester exams. We were prepared from before.

Faculty was very good and interactive. They spent extra hours woth students if needed. And they made sure that all the labs were properly done and all the students understood the experiments.
