An overall fine college

Orissa JEE I don't remember the score but my rank was around 12000. There were other colleges but they were not that good so i opted for this .It was a good college but people at that time were not opting for information technology.So it was vacant.

The course and curricula was as per the standards set by Biju patnaik university.The lab and curricula was fine and we had regular classes.The faculty was also good.We had 8 semesters and every semesters had six subjects.

I was selected by Tcs. Many companies visited our college that were mostly for core sector.For software TCS alone recruited around 200 students.Overall the recruitment was fine.

Placement is overall fine but don't expect much.And if you have not secured 60 percent and above in 10 th and 12 th it might be a matter of concern.I suppose the highest package was around 4.5 lakhs by L&T and Tcs offered 3.16. There were other companies in which the student were recruited for 10,000 and such.

The events were good.There was active participation .And every department also had their own events. There were people with food entertainment skills and were very popular in colleges.There were good sporting events too.

I think as per the standard of college the fee was quite high. It was around 70,000 for education and if you stay in college campus they would charge around 30,000 more.I have come to know that the rate has increased.

It will be on you to get the loan.There were no scholarship i suppose. For loan they provide a written structure of fee so that you get loan easily.

Campus life was good. There were so many extracurricular activities and exhibitions robotics and debates. Every department had their own activities and programs that they conducted.

Yes the alumni network is good. Often they conduct programs and meetings to get them together. They target places to expand their network.The link is quite strong and people are actively involved .But the total intake of college is high with around 11 departments and hence getting people placed was difficult.

The exam was semester wise.The questions were set by BPUT and it was of good standard and i think that helped to maintain the quality of education in the college.

According to the college the faculty was overall fine but the quality needs to be increased all across the colleges in India especially the private colleges.
