One of the oldest women college in the country

The course curriculum that is been followed for the Bachelors of Art program in English is at par with the standards of education in the discipline at National level. Disciplines like poetry, dramatics, literature, etc are covered beautifully in the syllabus. Examinations are conducted in a semester wise manner and tests and assignments are something which are common and are held on a weekly to monthly basis.

Placement is one area where our college seems to lack a bit. For good placement a student has to make effort on his own in spite of the fact that there is a placement cell in the college. The placement cell mostly equips you in employable skills like soft skill training, interview skill, etc however in real the placement is to be fought out by the student on his own. Internships are not mandatory in our course however for Science based course where it is required the college only provides reference.

Fee of the college is to be submitted annually when a new academic session or a new year begins. The annual academy fee is Rs 15,000 making the total fee for the entire course duration stand at Rs 45,000.

I don't have much of an idea about the scholarships that are at offer for students. However one of my classmates applied for scholarship offered to meritorious girl students from the side of the Tamilnadu State Government and she got it sanctioned. Education loan is something which I applied for to support my education and one can get it sanctioned from any of the public or private sector bank by providing the admission letter of the college.

College has a decent atmosphere for us to get exposure to various extra-curricular activities including Sports, Dance, Art and craft, skill learning etc. In terms of celebrations and events on the college campus you will find annual fest l, freshers eve, College foundation Day, Republic Day and Independence Day getting celebrated. In terms of facilities and infrastructure the college has nice classrooms, a decent playground , an spacious seminar hall and library which is stocked with some good quality books.

Our college takes admission based on merit that is on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained by an applicant at the 10 + 2 or its equivalent level. Application for admission is required to be submitted online on the official website of the university where there is a specialised portal for application. Once the application is accepted you will receive a letter from the college for completion of the formalities and grant of the admission.

Considering their teaching methodology and their behaviour towards students I can say that the faculty in our college is decent and is generous. The one part I liked about them is that they have expertise in their respective subject and most of them have attained P.hD level education in their subject.
