The course curriculum and syllabus is divided by University into To Autumn and Spring term. This is nothing but the terminology used for odd and even semesters which we are generally used to listen. Examinations are conducted semester wise fashion and before the semester examination tests and evaluations are conducted on a weekly and monthly basis.

Placement is something which you can be rest assured when you take admission in this college. Firms like Google, Microsoft, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc of the common recruiters that visit our campus. In regards to my branch firms like BigBasket, Fresh to home, Licious etc offer good packages. Internship support is provided by the Institute For certain branches and course while for others one has to manage things on their own.

Fees of the college is something you can expect to be in line of any private college offering the B.Tech program. The fee has to be paid in a semester wise manner that is in one year you have to submit fee twice and for the each semester it stands to be around Rs 98,000.

Scholarships offered from the site of University to students who score good in the JEE main examination or the LPUNEST entrance exam conducted by the University. Concession of up to 50% in semester fee is offered. Apart from that the state government of Punjab also provide scholarships to the students who are original residents of the state.

Extra curricular activities and event celebrations are quite lively and energetic when you talk about our campus. Events like finale of popular shows like Miss PTC Punjabi, annual Indian Science Congress, performance by singers like Guru Randhawa etc are quite common on campus. Apart from that one can engage in host of extra curricular activities ranging from Arts, drama, dance to sports through various clubs and organisation in the university. Infrastructure facilities and other related facilities are top notch and are in line with the reputation of the university.

Admission in LPU is done based on the merit cum entrance test criteria. That is either one has to qualify the entrance examination conducted by the college which is named as LPUNEST or have to qualify the national level JEE Mains examination. If your score is good you will be offered admission in the college. However there are certain portion of seats which are filled through management quota that is based on direct admission. One reason I opted for this college was that it was the only popular college offering the Food Tech branch in B.Tech which I was looking for.

The faculty of our department is quite experienced and have hands on experience in the domain of Food Technology. Some of our professors have served in capacity of researcher in bodies like FSSAI. This experience and in depth knowledge helps them in making things simpler to understand for students during the lecture.
