College Review

The placement is pretty weak and in these tough times of COVID 19 I dont believe its going to be better soon.

Everyone will tell you that some colleges are better than this and that but Don't hassle yourself too much finding out what's the best. It doesn't even matter when you come out of the college with a degree. Coming to course curriculum its same for every MAKAUT college and not much of research driven.

College placement cell is very weak. They don't have the capability to call big guns of IT just to take students from their college. Our college always used to participate in off campus placement. The companies which used to come provide very nominal CTC to the students

Techtrix,cultural fest, freshers party and every festivals are celebrated. Techtrix a festival where the emphasis is given upon the robotics the games with robo race, robo war and all kinds of games around the robots. Students are also given chances to showcase their sills on different games like fifa pubg mini militia etc.

The college fee will be around at max 40k per sem total college feefor four years would be near to 3.5lakhs. We had to go to bank of boaroda bank to deposit our fees it can be either through cash,cheque or DD then the receipt had to be deposited in the account department of the college. Tjere were no additional fees charhed by thr college. In order to secure admission many student come under management quota and have to give a hefty fee to the college to i sure their admission. College provides the transparency of the fee breakdown every thing is well listed and why the money is taken is well described. There were no issues in this regard.

I haven't applied for any scholarships. I am not sure whether the college has any scholarships opportunities. Accounts department will be well aware if you are looking for such opportunities you can ask the officials there

Gender ratio is prettu good in the campus almost 60:40 boy girl ratio was there in my time. Extracurriculars are day to day activities in the college. Students give stress on olleyball and cricket. There are dedicated teams which practice during the inter college sports competition. Rcc college is well known for its robotics fest Techtrix which allows other colleges to come and compete its a huge competition in kolkata city and there have been upto thousand footfall recorded

There are no hostel facilities from college they don't provide any staying facility. Students have to take pg around college area which is in beleghata or chingrighata. My friemd used to stay there in 2 sharing or 2 sharing room with max 8k per month with food and other facilities. Students also used to stay in sharing flats with their classmates which helps them in study and can cook their own meal of thry want to or hire a maid for their day to day activities.

Alumni network os very strong. College students respect their alumni very strongly and alumni help each other and students with their placement and advices

I got the admission through IIT Jee Mains exam. I got the rank under 150000 of general category. I had to went through counselling of WBUT.Its a very rigorous process which students had to go through he marks name signature domicile everything is check sincerely and according to online counselling options filled students are given their admission in their college and their dept. I got the college in 2014 july. I had my first day in college in August 2014. IT has been wonderful journey through you will go through every emotions a human being can have and you will miss when you leave that place.

At my time I had some pretty good and solid faculty who used to support students with their studies anytime. They would be more than happy if you go to their desk and ask the doubts which you have in their free time. They will make you understand the concepts but some were not at all eligible to teach students. I hope they are not present in the college anymore
