Don't consider students demand until we come on road and make them hear us. Management style is very old and they are not ready to change. Always have to enter details in register at various places in campus which no one reads but they are regid and they don't want to change until we take a step like strike.

No, our curriculum doesn't provide industry based knowledge. But since its a old institution(60 years Completed) it does have various clubs (some of them are good for industrial knowledge) and phd scolar are quite helpful if anyone is interested in research.

Placement for Computer science and Engineering is very good. Its almost 100% for CSE with good package. Other branches have 60-70% placement. Exceptionally placement of Electronic and communication engineering is 80%+ because they are allowed to sit for coding job(Ofcourse students habe to do that on their own). Placement is good in CSE. Very poor in rest of the branch. And didn't got any intern yet. Institute don't take any special effort for student placement. All they do is just call the company which have visited previously.

Aarohi: cultural feast, big singer, stand up comedian visit the institute.Peoples out side the campus also comes in it(and its not free). Its Amazing. Axis: Technical fest. Fresher: Fresher Orientation(with Seniors). Department Gathering:Games within the department (its fun) Institute Gathering: Best thing that VNIT have got. All department play against each other. All games are played. It last for 10 day. Its a real sport. Consortium:Management event.

Fee is feasible(since its a government funded institute) For a Batch fee is constant throughout their Course. Fee is to be paid at start of semester (otherwise you can't register for next semester). No, additional charges are taken since admission is based on you JEE Rank. College does provide transpaewncy in yhe fee-breakdown.

Yes there is scolarship based on category and annual income of parents. For ST/SC, Education is. FREE. For OBC, 100% fee remission if annual income of parents is less than 10 lakhs For General, 100% fee remission if annual income of parents is less than 2lakhs And 66.66% fee remission if annual income of parents is less than 5 lakhs

Campus life is great. Lots of greenary A good infrastructure, sports ground for every game. Good maintenance of groundsex ratio is very poor around 1:7(girl:boy)but its good in one branch Architecture. Group based on their mother languages is there and they celebrate their festivals. No gang war king of thing in campuss but still some small personal fight may take place. Labs are good

Yes, i opted for it. There is a separate hostel for each year boys but common hostel for all girls. Girls hostel and boys first year hostel is constructed recently and they are great and they have all the facilities that you can assume a hostel should have. Since they are constructed recently every thing is fine. Other hostels are normal nothing bad or good. Its just normal. Mess food isn't great but that will be problem everywhere. But ofcourse food is eatable.

Some Seniors are just addicted to alcohol, cigarettes and they can't help.Never contacted any alumni yet so can't comment on it but we do have a alumni association whixh provide fund to college for various improvement in college. We have a student mentor program where a Senior is alloted to a group of junior and its really helpful (first interaction with senior) and those who can help are really helpful and supportive.

Got admission on basis of Jee Mains Exam Rank. At my time JOSAA was the official body for allotting instute based on various factors(i.e. Reservation, student preference) and exam was conducted by CBSE(Now NTA does that). I choosed ECE because i liked that branch. I Choosed VNIT because that the best institute (According to NIRF Ranking) that i can get based on my JEE Rank(AIR 6615).

44 lecture in one sem(each 1 hr course) Average age : 45 Some are really great at what they teach but rest doesn't seem interested in teaching. They just spend their most of the time in their own research work. No, All they have done in there life is Research.
