I would conclude that it’s one of the best colleges in the country, with an equal balance of everything, where academics wnd fun, both are taken care of.

The course curriculum is very vast as I opted for the professional batch. The professional batch consists of BCom integrated with CA. This implies that our syllabus comprises entirely of the material provided by the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The faculties who come to teach us in the professional batch are CAs themselves, which makes it even better.

The placement structure of the college is not great, I’d suggest. Although a good amount of companies attend our campus placement, not many students actually get worthey offers from the companies. But few deserving students hit the jackpot as well. For instance, a student bagged a package of around 1.5 crores being a fresher.

The college is known for it’s traditional, cultural events and festivals. The college conducts, the degree day every year for students. It also conducts college day, which is more like traditional day where all students dress up in their traditional outfits. It involves a huge amount of participation from within the college as well as outside. The college is also known for it’s inter collegiate fests which are very popular among the students. The college is a perfectly balances academics with extra-curricular activities

Regular Bcom costs around Rs.35,000/semester. While professional batches go upto Rs.70,000/semester. Professional batches cost more due to the faculties coming from outside the college. Also, professional batches exams have to be setup seperately. Their subjects are different, syllabus is different and so are their question papers. So considering all these additional costs, I’d consider that the college fee is quite reasonable and not too extreme.

I didn’t avail for any loan/scholarship. The college has a dedicated counter for scholarship related queries though. They guide students on availing the scholarship and educate them very well. Students usually avail scholarships of no less than 10,000 minimum.

The campus life is fantastic. The campus is vast with many amenities including the largest swimming pool in the district. It also has many grounds in which numerous sports related events are hosted. The college has facilitated almost every sport one could imagine of, from cricket, football to javelin throw and discus throw competitions

The Alumni network is quite powerful and play a vital role in the decision making of the college. The college has some quite renowned public figures as it’s Alumni including Indian cricketer KL Rahul and many others.

I came from a science background in PUC. So getting an admission into commerce wasn’t a difficult job considering that my scores were also good. I had to apply online for admission into UGC. Everyone has to apply online initially. And then after reviewing my performance in 12th and 10th, they called me in for an interview. The interview is the final part of the admission process.

There are more than adequate amount of lecturers present in the college. They’re ready to help you with your doubts anytime and most of them are quite friendly. Most students are easily able to bond with them in their first year itself. Also, 90% of the faculty comprises of youngsters, but who’re qualified enough.
