College is good enough. I haven't faced any issues till now.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is affiliated to MAKAUT. The whole course is devided into 8 semester. The university MAKAUT takes the Examination. Many seminars are organized by the college. The faculty is good enough. The labs are awsome. Placement is good as we have heard from our seniors.

Yes internships are available. The placement is also good specially in CSE and IT as we heard. There is a placement cell, they helps very much.

College Events

Technical festival Science Project Display Independence Day Science Day Engineering Day The participation is very good. All love to join and enjoy. There are events like dancing, singing, wall magazine. Seminars are organized. Very famous personalities give lecture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Approximately 4 lakhs for the course. You can give it to the college by installment. It is like other engineering colleges. It is very much less for the tfw category student. In the corona situation, the college is asking for the fee. I think they should consider the fee for some time in the pandemic situation.

I have not opted for any scholarships or any loan. But I know some of my friends who have opted and get the education loan smoothly.

In CSE the gender ratio is 3:2. But in other streams the number of girls are less as compared to boy. We have art and craft society and photography society. I am a member of photography society. Ragging is banned in our campus. There is a antiragging society in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are helpful enough. There are fb groups of alumni and current students. I have seen some seniors helping us a lot.

Admission

With the result of WBJEE I got into the college. You can get admission with WBJEE and JEE (Main) rank. The good environment of the college made me choose the institution. The institute is situated in the hilly area The surrounding is full of greenery.

Faculty

They are good enough. Classes held on time. If we have any doubt about the topic, we contact them on whatsapp, gmail. The class duration is 50 mins. In a day we have max to max 7 classes. The college opens in 10 AM and get closed in 4.30 PM. We have a break of 1 hour long.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I got TFW quota in this college from WBJEE Counselling, so for this the total fees for me is 1/8th of the fees paid by other, who take admission through Direct or with WBJEE Counselling itself.
