Remarks

The college has made drastic improvements in terms of infrastructure and teaching faculty. There is still scope for improvement in terms of overall research and development activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The teaching faculty at the college was experienced in its subject matter. The college infrastructure is superb too. Above all there was a library that was often utilized by many students from all grades. The college provided equal opportunities for all student in terms of academics, sports and culture.

Placement Experience

3

The college has an in-house placement call. Internships are easily available to eligible students through this cell.

College Events

3.5

Umang is the flagship festival of the college. Every year several students volunteer to participate in large numbers. Over the years there have been many celebrities and brands that have come over to the festival. This has made the event a huge success as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is a governemnt aided institution. The fees are relatively low. For example, boys are charged Rs. 6000 per year as college fees whereas girls are charged Rs. 400 a year. In case a student is from a weak financial background, the college provides additional concessions as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had applied for a minor scholarship that was given to me on time. Eligible students were encouraged to apply for scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Extra curriculum activities were considered very important. Regular participation was encouraged and appreciated. Teachers and faculties themselves helped students in organising various events. The management provided a requisite network of advertising and event management expertise too.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is well respected. In the past, many of them have been helpful in career choices.

Admission

It was based on the 10th marks. Based on this the merit list was drawn and selection was done. There was a criteria for quota based selection as well. Luckily, I got through based on the third merit list released by the college. The selection done by the college was fair and transparent.

Faculty

4

The college faculty has been supportive in every possible aspect. They have helped many students like me achieve excellence in study and career. The college faculty is well experienced in terms of subject matter depth and the manner if teaching. The college management make sure the quality of teaching is preserved.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
