CSE experience

I took KCET and secured 4248 rank. I chose this course because I was interested in computers and programming. No interview or special admission process. I just went to CET free seat counselling and secured the last free seat for this course at JNNCE.

The curriculum was same as most of the universities in the state. The curriculum followed the one provided by VTU. More stress was provided on programming languages like Java, C# rather than innovative subjects like Artificial intelligence.

No internships were offered during our time. Campus recruitment was conducted and many people got place (excluding me) even though just a few months before that, global recession had started.

Not many technical festivals were conducted. Barely cultural activities for each engg course students were conducted. Annual events were the only activities conducted. A lot of sports events were also conducted.

I didn't avail of any loan or scholarship but some are available for students who are in need of it. You just need to go to account section and there they will give you all details regarding that.

Alumni network doesn't seem to be so well formed. I have barely met any of my classmates past college. Most of them have shifted to different cities and countries as well.

Exams were conducted on the same basis and frequency as any other universities in Karnataka affiliated to VTU. It wasn't too hectic. Just 1 internal per month and after 4 months the semester exams.

Faculty was well knowledged and friendly. But strict as well. Had good relationship with the lecturers and was always approachable. Trained us well and were very helpful during lab activities.
