To be honest as other colleges that come under mumbai university the college focuses more on the theoritical knowledge more than practical. So if you want to be top coder or best engineer you have to learn on your own. The one thing that is great about thadomal shahani engineering college is that you would be around mumbai's best minds so you would learn lot's of stuff and become intelligent in that sense.
Placement Experience
The placement in tsec is average. If you are an average student you would definately get the basic fresher package but there are companies coming to the campus who offer high end packages that goes up to 40 lpa
College Events
Truffles is one of the flagship college event of tsec. The college also organizes marathon, coding hackathons.There is lots of activities happening every month. Tsec also celebrates women's day in a grand fashion. Carrer counsling and lots of guest lectures happens for masters and industrial standards.
Fee Structure And Facilities
College accepts fees in all formats dd (demand draft ), neft and net banking. There is complete transparency on the fee break-down the student will get the proper fee receipt and in that there is proper mention of the break down. There is no additional fees to be paid to secure admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes college offers ebc scholarship that is people belonging to economically backward class can avail this scholarship for that your entire family income has to be below 8 lakhs per annum and you have to provide necessary documents supporting the same such as income certificate
Campus Life
Gender ratio is good i.e. 1:1, workshops are held very often, cultural societies have a very open culture and they are very open. The best thing about TSEC is there is no discrimination what so ever based on gender, race,religion etc. The workshops held are very beneficial to students and inclusive in nature.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes you can reach out to the college seniors they are very helpful. All the alumni are available on professional websites such as linkedin and they will do everything possible to solve students queries.
Admission
The admission process is pretty straight forward. You have to select a bunch of colleges and rank them according to your priority after that if the seat in available in the college you mentioned at top priority you will get that college and if seat is not available than the second college mentioned in your priority list is checked for and so on.
Faculty
Some of the professors are supportive but some are worst human beings in the whole of earth possible. So it would be advicable to not get into fights with those who should be avoided. The staff at TSEC would encourage you even if you are stuck at some point.
