My College

College is quite good ranging from infrastructure to academics.

Curriculum is student friendly & quite practical. Labs are conducted on regular basis. Internships are provided each year. Curriculum is research oriented. Industrial visits are organized for students during their internships. The syllabus includes all the aspects of physics that can be helpful for students future.

There is a special placement cell of the college. Every year many companies visit the campus providing students lakhs of packages. Internships opportunities are given to every student all through their course duration. I have not applied for any internship so far.

Fests & festivals are hosted by the college throughout the year. Fests and events of ea h department are celebrated. Celebrities are invited. Cultural programs, seminars & sports events are held. Every student of the college can participate. In some programs even the students of other colleges are allowed to perform and participate.

Admissions are purely based on the rank and merit of the student. No additional charges are to be provided for admission. College annual fee Is quite feasible. Fee is accepted by online mode by college. Exams fee has to be paid also at the time of commencement of exams.

Of course college do provide the scholarship opportunities to the students. Students can avail scholarships run by state or centre or by the college. Every year many students apply for scholarship schemes and take the financial advantage. However I have not applied for any scholarship scheme yet.

The gender ratio in the college is not very bad. Many extra curricular activities such as fests, sports events, webinars debate competition and cultural programs are conducted by management. There are student unions in the college that take part in political activities to protect rights of the students. Student diversity is such that students from all over India come to study in college.

College provide hostel facilities for the students as students and from all over the India come to study. However there are a few seats available in each course for the students of other states. Hostel infrastructure is quite impressive. Rooms are big enough; cleaned and well maintained.

Seniors in the college are very helpful. Ragging and harassment is restricted and is considered a criminal offence. Seniors help the new bees to understand the culture of college. There is a big alumnus network of the college. They are invited to share their experiences and help the new comers.

I got admission in the college on the basis of merit list. I opted for physics as I am interested in it. I had to fill the college admission form & after finding a place in merit list I had to go to the college to verify my documents. After that my admission was confirmed.

Every week 4 lectures of each subjects are provided. Faculty is well qualified and professionals in their respective fields. Teachers left no stone unturned to make students understand as easily as they can. Most of the teachers are Ph. D degree holders in their subjects.
