Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum of IIT ISM Dhanbad is designed very cleverly ensuring students have both theoretical and practical knowledge. Your Seniors, PDH scholars and faculty will always be there for you for doubts, research and academics. IIT ISM Dhanbad has Asia's 2nd largest and India's largest technological library which is open from 7AM to 10PM for studies.
Placement Experience
IIT ISM Dhanbad has excellent placement records. The highest package was 39.5LPA CTC and 15LPA CTC average in year 2020. There are several interships for studies during graduation, they can opt for any internship with their skills during summer break.
College Events
Concetto is the annual technomanagemental festival of IIT ISM Dhanbad. It is Eastern India's Largest Technical fest organized by the student body of the college. The activities culminate in a grand three-day festival event in the IIT (ISM) campus which attracts people from all over the country, including students, academia, corporates, and the general public as well. Srijan is the annual cultural festival of IIT ISM Dhanbad. It is the largest cultural festival of Eastern India which provides a unique platform to the young brains of India to showcase their talent and an opportunity to learn through participation. It has been a combination of cultural extravaganza and social empowerment since its inception in 1977.
Fee Structure And Facilities
(Approximated, per semester including mess fee) For General students- 1,40,000/- For SC/ST/PWD students- 30,000/- If you're general category student and: 1.your family income is less than 1 lakh your fees will be 1/3rd 2.or your family income is between 1lakh-5lakh your fees will be 2/3rd
Fees and Financial Aid
If your family income is less than 5 lakh there are some scholarships for you also you can opt for education loan anytime showing your proof that is you're student of this institute(ID card is sufficient) There are scholarships also for students who are good in academics and have good grades.
Campus Life
IIT ISM Dhanbad has a campus area of 398acers wide it was build in 1926. The campus is blissed with greenry. Gender ratio is 18:100 (girls:boys) There is Student Activity Center where there is a swimming pool, gym, snooker room, music room, boxing, weight lifting, etc. There are 2 huge sports arena where you can play football, hockey, criket, etc. There are lot of cultural socities for each extra curricular activities like Lightscameraism for cinematography, Manthan for music, fotofreaks for photography, Chayanika for writing, ADC for dramatics, WTC and LITM for dance, etc.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted the hostel. You'll have to share your room with a room partner i.e. 2 students in a room. The ventilation in the room is very good and the rooms are good to live. Mess food is also good. There are no shortage of rooms. Fees for hostel and mess is 15000 per semester only

IIT ISM Dhanbad is known for it's strong bond between junior- senior and alumy bondings, the senior/alumni are just a call away to help you
Admission
I appeared for JEE Advanced in 20th May 2020 after qualifying JEE Mains in April 2018 and opted for Mineral Engineering in IIT ISM Dhanbad in JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Eligibility for JEE Advanced: 1.Must have qualified JEE Mains 2.Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in class 12

College faculties are very supportive and well-wishing You can visit the facilities in the the department during the office hours anyday. You can also contact them directly via phone call anytime(even after office hours), faculties contact number is provided to everyone
