Entrance Preview
Direct Second Year from Diploma so I didn't appear for the exams. But I can in Mumbai after vjti nd sp college of engineering I preferred kjsce I didn't get in so nd vjti due to my less %.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was just awesome but some how some teachers failed to complete their syllabus. Overall teaching was also good. As it turned autonomous its good that concentrating on subjects which are related to the particular. Appreciate it.
Internships Opportunities
The internship programs where good coordinated by all the faculties I can say around 75 internship programs where offered to us. Learning frm my side in the internship program was so so awesome.
Placement Experience
Somaiya college has almost 100 % attendance where L&T , Georej nd Boyce ,Siemens company come. Out of that Siemens takes maximum students from the college according to the stats last year Siemens took 153 students with salary package of 4.34lakhs.
College Events
College events out here is awsoame from technical then skream i.e sports and the symphony one of the most popular fest of the campus last year in symphony we had guest from singing fraternity Any Malikji and from Bollywood world alia bhatt and varaun dhwan.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As compared to other kj somaiya college of engineering has one of the highest fees we pay yearly 140750 it should be less its very expensive.college should try nd reduce the fees coz as per my calculation we pay rs 80 fr each day of our college, excluding holidays, exam days vacation public holiday.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides sclorship through tata trust and many other sclorship organisation. Although they bring lot but the open category ppl feel the the fees is too too high.
Campus Life
Hostel is just awesome in hostel we celebrate ganesh utsav we bring ganeshji at hostel for 7days and we have indoor outdoor games dance singing and other enjoyment on that day the boys in hostel are around 250 nd girls 100.
Hostel Facilities
I'm a hostelite in the somaiya campus for 4 years and two years left more the hostel is jut awesome I stay in kj somaiya polytechnic hostelin the campus only . The mess is not that good but hostel is the best.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior as we say thy are always helpful whatever work we have wethy are always ready to help us. They never have any excuse. All the experience of what thy faced abt the particular subject thy share with us.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was very hectic as we had only one week preparatory leave and also gaps between two exams was just one day or two maximum concerning this much was very difficult. Labs were good.
Faculty
Faculty were good. Good teaching skills too and I must say I used to enjoy studying but some how the faculty didnt complete the syllabus on time. Subject: data analysis and interpretation was a very tough subject and teacher was not qualified it seems we had sums in it nd she used to bring a paper in which solved sums were there nd she used to see nd write and board.
