Course Curriculum Overview
Exam is under Biju Patnaik University of Technology affiliation. Semesters with good amount of baps between exams. The labs are well equipped and the environment garnishes bright minds. Course curriculum is same as followed else where. Research options is only granted at PhD level.
Placement Experience
Placements are provided at the end of 6th semesters. There are online platforms that are paid by the college for each student to help and advance in career and job.
College Events
The curriculum calendar is full of events in almost every field. Apart from college's very own festival there are 16 more events. Each of them carry a separate theme and idls enjoyed by all the year if students equally. Like Fun fest, Athelitic meet, Horizon etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
IGIT is a government funded autonomous college with fees far less than private institutions. Fees can go upto 2. 5 lakhs for 4 years including hostel, mess and tution fees. Its not only economical but is also feasible for poor income families. So it's not expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes we have the medhabruti scholarship which is paid by government of India. But for these we have to give required documents at the academic section of the college.
Campus Life
The life will be filled with extracurricular activities. There will be no moment of pause for entertainment except during semesters. Robotics, literature, music bands, sports, everything will be spoon fed to you given you have talent or you work hard to get it. Gender ratio and diversity is also at similar levels.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. I opted for hostel. There are also mess available within 1kms of college campus or less. Various types of mess are available and in more amounts. The hostels are also equipped with all necessities like fans, table, chair, bed etc. I total there are 9 hostels within campus.
Alumni/Alumna
The college lacks a wide and spread alumni network. Past 2019 the Training and placement section is working on improving it as soon as possible.
Admission
Selection will be done as per JEE ranks. You have to secure an good all India rank in joint entrance examination to get shortlisted in this college. Each branch has its specific opening and closing rank. The highest of which is computer science branch.
Faculty
The faculty are experienced and recognised by industry experts. Each of them in every department has a specialization that proves there commitment of quality and ability to impart knowledge. Moreover all the faculty are from reputed colleges with continuing or completed PhD.
