DIT, A road for technology.

Overall i would say its a good institute. Campus is very beautiful and faculties infrastructure are also good.

There were many sream like electrical,mechanical,civil,computer science engineering. And some post graduate courses were available too. The exams are conducted in semester wise i.e in every six months. Total 8 semester were there in 4 years of course.

The placement is pretty good. Various mnc companies like cognizant tech mahindra Infosys use to conduct campus placement events. Other core companies for electrical mechanical civil stream was there too. After 3rd year college will help to get a industrial training so that students got an idae about the industrial world.

Every year there are various kind of programmes conducted. For the new comer students freshers function celebrated. Its generally a big budget item. Similarly for the seniors who are suppose to leave the college after some month a event is organise.other seminar and occasional events were there too.

It was quite expensive though. They use to take the fee through demand draft and check i guess. There were security deposits at the time of admission and library charge the security money was around 10,000 which is given back after completion of course.

According to the rule of government all types of scholarship was there. Those who are poor but meritorious fess were very less for them there are certain criteria and procedures for avail the scholarships.

Campus life is very colourful beside studies various types of sports extracurricular activities like singing dancing and musical band show happens. Once in a per year seminar on robotics are conducted. Seminar is conducted regularly. Its a co-education college boys and girls study together in some steram like electrical mechanical girls are little less than boys but in other stream like computer science the ratio is equal.

No i didn't opted for hostel, but some of my friends were there and its good. The room are spacious food are good. Gym,wifi facilities were there too. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The campus is well secured.

Yes indeed seniors are helpful. They are connected via many social media networks.many seniors are working in various mnc and govn sectors.

I took the admission in 2010 july. I had chosen electrical engineering because i wanted to work in core industries. And the reason behind choosing this institution is its faculties and infrastructure its really good. The faculties are highly qualified. And its near to kolkata city too.

The faculties are really good like for a single stream there were 9-10 faculties were there. And there were a mixture of age groups like some of them were young and others were senior. All of them are highly qualified. M.tech was the minimum criteria for being a faculty.
