College Review

Course Curriculum is quite good here. For one single semester there are three exams that you have to give. First one is Class Test one, which is a 30marks test. In this test whatever the marks you will Score, that will scaled down to 10.

Everything is good and up to the mark. But one bad think that I don't like is that they are putting more pressures on attendance. I'm pursuing Computer Science and System Engineering from this college, so better I will tell you about faculties from our department. Faculties are quite good and friendly with the students. Around 20-25 lecturers are in my department and quite same in other departments also. There average age is near 35 and only few faculties whose average age is above 45.

It's neither good, nor bad. Rather weird. There are many structures in the college which we found really absurd and useless. We still crack jokes on them and have not yet been able to figure there purpose of existence yet.

The Annual Cultural Fest – Celegance 2018 of C. V. Raman College Engineering was inaugurated in S. C. Bhadra Auditorium at 10. 30 am on 16 March, 2018 by his Excellency S. C. Jamir, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha. The other distinguished dignitaries present at the inaugural function were (Guest of Honour), Shri Sanjib Kumar Rout, Chairman, C. V. Raman Group of Institution and Prof. Bhabes Bhattacharya, Principal, C. V. Raman College of Engineering. The Principal, Prof. Bhattacharya extended a cordial welcome to the esteemed guests, faculty members, invited guests, media, representatives, parents and students. Chairman, CVRGI, Mr. Rout in his inspiring speech highlighted how the institute has been working hard to bring about an appropriate connection between industry and the technical education providers. He also stressed the significance of a cultural fest in a technical institution and talked about how these cultural fests can bring about a synchronized development among the future technocrats. The Guest of Honour talked about the reverse brain drain and urged upon the young mass to be rooted in our traditional Indian Cultural.

The fee structure is reasonable. the total course fees is rs 6 lakhs for 2 years. the hostel and the fooding charges include rs 65000 / yr. Besides there are gym facilities and swimming pool also available which are charged extra. with the cousre fees study materials are also included. the fees is very reasonable as compared to other MBA college.

Yes I was opted for the education loan. I availed it from my hometown bank. You can also availed the education loan from college bank i. e Union Bank of India. For opting bank loan you have to take bonafide certificate as well as fee structure from college.

The gender ratio is different in different branches, if I talk about my branch, out of 180 students only 5 are girls while in Computer Science or IT the number of girls are maximum as compared to boys. Extracurricular activities- As I mentioned earlier, that we have different departmental events including debate competition, photography competition, CSR activities, different inter and intra sports competition including Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Kabbadi, Chess, Carrom etc.

Yes I'm staying in the hostel. Hostel fee you have to pay in the beginning itself otherwise hostel administration always give you the notice for the payment of your fee There are 5 boys hostel and one girls apartment Out of 5 boys hostel 3 are inside campus and 2are outside the campus. While girls apartment is inside the campus.

My seniors was damm good, they are cooperative and very friendly in nature. They never make you uncomfortable that he is your senior, now I am in 4th year and I'm also a senior in my college, I always be friendly with my juniors as my seniors was. I never gone through any ragging by the seniors. College is totally free from ragging, if any of the senior is taking your ragging then there is a administration for ragging where you can complain, but this is rarely happens in the campus because all the seniors are very mature and had good relationship with the juniors.

B.Tech degree course through Lateral Entry. The college is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). Candidates who have passed 10+2 in PCM subjects can apply for the B. Tech course. For admission to PG courses, the candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Admission to B. Techis done on the basis of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main. Seats are allotted by the centralizedcounseling process ofOdisha Joint Entrance Examination(OJEE). M. Tech admissions are done on the basis of OJEE Entrance test. However, preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates. Selections to MBA course is done on the basis of OJEE Entrance test and preference will be given to MAT/CAT/XAT qualified candidates.

They are well capable of clearing our doubts but with this, it is also necessary for us that we should give more focus on our self studies We are also getting industry exposure in different subjects like automobile, welding robotics, CNC, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Industry 4. 0, HVAC and much more.
