Many opportunities for dedicated students

The college has a good reputation from years. I had heard about good teaching. I got admission based on my entrance exam scores. My name came up after the 4th list. The overall admission process was very easy from the college.

I chose IT as my branch because I had an interest in computers and coding. The teacher-student bond is what made me helo in my career and exam. The teachers are very motivating and supporting. Few teachers even have PhD degree. And there are specialised teachers for some subjects. Except for the term exams, two internal exams are taken. The teachers do their best to make the students prepare for them by giving assignments and classwork.

TPO provides opportunities to get placement in companies like TIFR and Octaware also in government forms like NIC. The department has also been in ties with FOSS to which intern offered students of my batch to get internships in companies like Srijan, Trijen, Accelerant. The student committee of the department, ACM had organized a hackathon which offered 30 students an internship in startups like CartGeek, MindScript, Vorfruede, RobocomInternational and TwinTring.

Students are eligible for placement after SEM6 companies like LTI, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, etc come in the campus for placement. Students are also given the opportunity to attend various pool campus interviews. The average package is 3.5 LPA. Highest package is around 5LPA. Around 90% of eligible students get placed and around 60-70% of overall students get placed. I have been placed in LTI in campus interview and my plan is to work there.

The fees are taken on a yearly basis. The college also gives the option to give fees in two instalments to a few students. Scholarships are available from the Maharashtra government to minority students.

The college fest is held in the month of April. The department has it's own students committee, MHSSCOE-ACM which organized various technical and social events. This committee helped me to shape my personality, boost my confidence and social speaking skills. Being as the Chairperson of the committee helped me in my placement interview. The committee also has a website which is created and managed by the students for the benefit of other students. The library has its own E-version where many papers and journals are available.
