Remarks

Overall college Management is good. If placements were better I would have rated 10/10. But cannot as of now. There should be a dedicated placement department for MBA and should focus on bringing quality placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course include most of the recent topics. Exams contains semester wise internals and Externals. 3 internals and one externals per semester. Totally 4 semesters. Internship is supposed to be done after 2 semesters. Final semester is based on Project work. The subject taught are moderate and sufficient. Placement training is given Industrial visits were arranged. Placements is not up-to the mark and if someone is from management quota it's not worth the money paid. Average package for MBA - marketing was 3-4 lpa which is less than the fees 4 lakh per year.

Placement Experience

2

Placement is not up to the mark. There is no dedicated placement officer. One of the teaching faculty will be placement officer juggling with classes and placements. Good number of companies visited the campus but the profile and package is not good. Internship opportunities are provided from college but limited. Finance- Delloite, Oracle, Morgan Stanley, KPMG Marketing - ITC, Aditya birla, Kotak mahindra, Nestle, ICICI prudential, Byjus, Shriram finance, Oracle, Salesforce HR - Oracle, peepal consulting,

College Events

4

No specific college fest for MBA. The engineering college fest is considered as college fest. This will be very lavish and good. Celebrity like Shankar mahadevan are invited. Many technical fest keeps happening according to the departments Finance, Marketing and HR. Moderate level technical fest happen within department with around 30-50 participants.

Fee Structure And Facilities

EXPENSIVE. EXPENSIVE. If you are from management quota it's costs around 8 lakhs. If you are from PGCET quota it's around 2 lakhs. Although getting a seat through PGCET is really difficult because of cut-off rank being 150 most of the times. There is no additional fees/charges apart from initial fees. I dint even pay a rupee apart from the above mentioned fees. No exam fees, no uniform fees, no graduation day fees. It's one time cost. Fees to be paid via DD only. Transportation is additional facility which is costs according to the distance from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are available for meritious students irrespective of category. There will be a cut off percentage for which scholarship are given in the form of cheque in a prestigious ceremony with renowned guests. Average sum of scholarship given was around 10 lakh for MBA. Category wise scholarship is available from government which can be availed by submitting documents.

Campus Life

3.5

It was almost a equal gender ratio. No differentiation between two genders. Everyone was equally treated. Campus is self sufficient for the number of students considering it is present in city like Bangalore. Most of the students are localites. Few from North and few from Andhrapradesh. There is official freshers party and farewell party. Also Same is with unofficial as well conducted with students Co ordination. Most of the students are from well settled families.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Boys hostel is available in the campus and girls hostel around 5 km from college and transportation provided by college for girls hostel. Fees structure is dependent on number of sharing per room. It costs around 1- 1.5 lakh. Nearby college lot of individual rooms are available at around 6-8 k rent. PG costs around 7-8k nearby.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. There is a strong alumni network. College also helps you to connect to alumni network and get in touch with alumni for further job connects. Senior students are helpful and friendly.

Admission

I got admission through PGCET entrance exams. PGCET is conducted by karnataka CET cell around June -july every year. Ideally for general category, students within150 rank can secure a seat in PES. During counseling from CET board i selected PES college. I paid 50k+ for CET board and 35k to college for admission. They will not even ask a single rupee after the admissions, not even exam fees. PES website claimed that it's No.1 B school for MBA under VTU so I selected that college. Also it was near to my home.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of the college is good. Most of the faculties are experienced and has industry knowledge. They explain things with real time examples. Most of them have Ph.D. Number of faculties is sufficient for number of students. Average age is 38 years. They are very friendly.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
