TANCET - ANNA university. I scored 28 Marks in TANCET then i applied for counselling. On 2nd day of counselling i got my slot. I choose Kongu Engineering College for its infra structure, environment, running more than 25 years and good academic progress.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good according to Anna university and also in par with other well reputed institutions. It has several elements that were in all other reputed institutions. They believed that rather than the classroom coaching practical experience would gain more learning. So lot of Seminars, guest lectures, management games were conducted by the institution and we also given the opportunity to conduct the games and events for our learning to conduct events and learn about event management.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship in Caterpillar, Chennai. I was in Part of HR process and gained more knowlegde in Human Resource processes. I was not given any stipends.I also did in Dalmia Cements, Ariyalur. I acquired immense knowledge about all the functions of Management.
Placement Experience
Placements and Job Opportunities are good. They also provide good training for getting placements. Even if we are not placed we would be able to compete with other candidates and get easily placed in any interviews.
College Events
First Inauguration function would be celebrated every year at the time of joining of Students. It would be celebrated for a week which will also include ice breaking sessions such that it would be helpful for fresh students to get ease with the new environment. Then Management meet at all India level will be conducted in which several games and events are conducted.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didnt get any scholarships as i enrolled for my PG studies. But UG students were getting scholarships. Loans facility are not offered by the institution when i studied but we can easily get loans from any bank when enrolled in Kongu Engineering College.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is good and we also get support from senior students. Group mail id was created for every year. So every news, notifications and events are sent to the group id such that every students will get the information.
Exam Structure
The Exam structure was prepared in such a way that you had exams on all days throughout the semester.
Faculty
The faculties of our college have gained their degrees from well reputed institutions and also have good hands on experience. In their field and also they are expert in their own field.
