Remarks
There is no ragging in the campus. College is awesome for Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Textile and Mechanical Engineering. Its not worth it for Civil Engineering. College management is a bit adamant and strict sometimes. The campus is always alive.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is strictly updated and continuously improving with small ammendment in years. Exam structure is strict and difficult but enriched knowledge will make it easy. The final year B. Tech is reasearch driven and M. Tech students starts their course along with a parallel research development.
Placement Experience
Placements are different with respect to the branches and program. Computer Science has the highest placement records ranging from 30-40 lakhs per annum as the highest by Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle etc. All other branches usually have an average package of 6-8 lakhs per annum. Placements in M. Tech is too low to nearly 10 percent or so due to the unavailability of core jib offers.
College Events
Techniti (Technical Festival)- Usually happens in the month of December and Utkansh (Arts Festival) happens in the month of March or so, Atheltic Day, Inter NIT Sports, Sree Krishna Jayanti, Onam, Musical Fest, Bharat Dwani, Conferences, Seminars, Workshop, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Bit expensive, considering the fact that its a government engineering college. My program i. e. M. Tech takes around Rs. 80000 per semester including the mess fee. Payment is usually done online via multiple channels. Fee is devided mainly into tuition fee and other fee. Other fee is also mentioned in the receipt.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I didn't. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and OBC students get a lot of scholarships to get the refund of fees. Economically backward people with income certificate too can apply for different scholarship available.
Campus Life
Campus is serene and perfectly designed for mininal movement for your needs. It has different structures for each branches with a central workshop as well as administrative buildings. There is a seperate central library as well as different stationary stores, restaurant etc. 3 girls for 7 boys ratio. It has automobile based clubs, robotics club, music club, dance clubs, social help club named prayas etc.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, old hostels are a bit small sized room but new one's i. e. Mega Hostels have really big rooms. In M. Tech you usually get a double sharing room which in second year would be changed to single stay rooms. All hostels doesn't have attached bathrooms.
Alumni/Alumna
Founder and Senior Employees of Flipkart, Founder of Falnco, Founder of Mobikwik and several other alumini are positioned in different positions at thr topmost tiers of different companies.
Admission
I cleared GATE 2018 Exam and I applied through CCMT to get the admission. I have enrolled in the M. Tech course. It happens every May-July. GATE exam happens in February of every year whose registration starts in September. For B. Tech courses you have to clear JEE while for MSc you need to clear JAM exam.
Faculty
I can access at his/her office or I can call or Whatsapp or even mail if necessary. In lectures which happens 3 hours a week, you have the freedom to ask anything too. You are living in the hostel, which means you always have the option to check on him/her for doubts.
