The college has a cardinal location of Kolkata where there are both roadway and railway commutes easily available. The campus is clean and the building is well equipped. Our college has an active website and being a part of the JIS educational initiative it was quite recognized when I first started venturing for suitable colleges.
Internships Opportunities
The Training and Placement cell here always roots for preparing the students for the upcoming corporate life. Companies like IBM, Wipro, or esteemed institutions like IIT KGP or IIEST have reached out to offer internships to students here which were made possible by the efforts of our T&P cell. The projects by the final year students are exhibited annually at Kolkata Book Fair and other Tech fairs which have received a lot of appreciation since its initial days. Also, research papers and new ideas by students from every year are always appreciated and encouraged to fruition.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here are like a usual pocket pinch required for any other private Engineering institution in Kolkata. The students who are unable to meet the mark are assisted with a cutdown provided they have proper proofs to back their claims. The main concern for every other aspiring engineer is college campusing and campus pools held by the JIS group of colleges are cumulative and competitive but you do stand a chance nevertheless. I myself bagged a job at Byju's as a Product Specialist by the end of my 7th semester. Capgemini, ITC, Pinnacle, etc. are some examples of recruiters who offered jobs to our students this academic year.
Campus Life
Every student has a dream of exquisite college life. Well, my college may not have an exquisitely built campus but life is fun alongside all the burdens of attendance percentage and assignments. College is pretty strict about attending all the theory and practical classes. But also it has resources to refresh ourselves through sports and co-curricular. Intercollege cricket, soccer, futsal competitions or annual college fest, techfest(Manthan), sports, workshops, etc. lets us take our mind off for rejuvenation. The recent addition to our college campus is a lush sports complex that definitely adds up for vibing campus life.
Interview Experience
Admission in this college is all about ranks and merit. The personal interview consists of going through your board exam marks and entrance results along with thorough counseling over what stream you choose.
