Remarks

It is a very decent college with lots of fun, but if you are looking for the campus placement right after the academics you might have to study hard, but if you are in for knowledge and all, you will get what you want to with faculty as experienced & helpful you will come out as a polished engineer.

Entrance Preview

I took MHCET for engineering and scored around 78 percent which got me 2-3 options for college but since this is the one in my hometown & since i got help from my school seniors saying that its one of the best admission process was centralised, just had to fill in the details the course and college you want, if you get shortlisted after the cutoffs you will know.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Mechanical engineering department of bidve engineering college is one of the best department. Computer science and electronics department is also good. Almost everything knowledgeable is covered under the syllabus to give us the idea of what the subject is related to, All the common major subjects like HT, SGT, FMHM, ICE, etc are taught by experienced lecturers and they are ready to help with whatever doubts student face.

Internships Opportunities

It was very useful to understand communication styles and all the information will help in my future career.Companies like BHEL,infosys and other software companies came, for mechanical we had to go find internship on our own as the details were provided by our Placement cell to visit. I got a job on the stipend of 5k per month for 1.5 month.

Placement Experience

1.5

This is the hard part to answer, since the placement cell is active but we hardly 3-4 big companies come to the campus & most of them select students on the minimum percentage basis. the average package that was there for the infosys job was 4 lac per annum, whereas smaller units offered something around 1-2 lacs. around 30-40% from our batch got placed.

College Events

4

TECHFEST' is the main cultural festival held in the month of January. 'Milan' is the inter-college fest for all the colleges under the University. These are quite a big festival and you see a good participation from students of other colleges too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was as ok when i used to study, my fees was around 33k per year, but i do know that it has been increased to 60-65k from last 2-3 years, but they provide you installment options for paying up in 3-4 installments, so its not hard on the guardians of the student is well. It is pretty much feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not aware of anyone, yes college provides installment options but apart from that i know nothing much about it.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is great fun. Personally when i entered the college for the first time i thought how would this 4 years will be, but they were awesome. With around 30-40% of the girls in the college & annual gathering with events every now and then, it kept us busy. Every department held there events with various competitions like robo race for mechanical.dance, coding etc

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The whole campus has around 5 canteens. Yes it isnメt a mistake, it is 5! There is also a food court where you will find a lot of options and it is always crowded. I have often seen my friends who are studying somewhere else complaining about the food facilities in their college, but I never faced such problem at mine, may be I was lucky, there are food outlets and cafes that are properly maintained and food is really good.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni help was great, those who were placed in good places helped us how to go through the initial job finding procedure. We were provided with data like phone numbers and email ids of the alumni to be in touch with.

Exam Structure

The exam is structure is good, a day off between each paper which gives you ample time to revise if you are a good student & for some like me i will say it gave me ample time to study. every semester we had 5 theory papers & 6 viva & practicals for same, if you attend lectures regularly there is hardly any problem in passing the subject with some of the knowledge. Also there was enough weight of marks for completion of practicals and attendance of the same. Unit tests were conducted 3 times in a semester keeping the students study and ready for the finals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
