This college has enriched me

I heard about this college from my friends' circle as well from various educational websites. I was attracted by the college's reputation regarding its decent ambience, good overall ranking, strict anti-ragging policy, well-managed infrastructure, excellent faculty, vibrant campus life and many other such things.

I choose this course because Mechanical Engineering syllabus covers the basic grounds of almost all the other braches. In our department, often the class is divided into two to three groups so that good faculty-student ratio like one to thirty can be maintained. All the faculty members of our department are well-qualified and aware. Frequently our Principle, Dean and HOD visit our classes to make sure students are comfortable and gaining from the teaching method and the environment. Semester exams are held under the observation of college professors, strictly following the academic calendar published at the beginning of the year.

Our college T&P works too hard to make sure all the students receive appropriate internships both on and off-campus.

The total fee is around 4 lacs. Semester fees are clearly specified at the time of admission and there is absolutely no question of fee hike during the entire four year period. There is a scheme of Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) for economically disadvantaged students under which they can pursue studies at a nominal cost. Also, the college provides a number of scholarships to the deseriving pupils. In addition, education loan is also arranged by the college for the needy boys and girls.

On one hand, there is school-discipline in the classroom and on the other hand campus life is all about college-freedom. Groups of students can be seen on campus having brain-storming sessions, giving Adda with snacks or practising for cultural functions. The annual tech-fest 'Kritanj' and cultural fest 'Navodaya' are organised every year in March and April respectively. There are over thousands of informative recent and old various types of books and journals available in the college library. We get to study comfortably in airy smart classrooms. Lush greenery on campus acts as a soothing element for us in recess as well as a preparation ground for different sports events. There are several clubs run by enthusiast students like Robotics Club, Photography Club and so on.

Admission is based solely on merit. Applicant students are shortlisted in order of their ranks in WBJEE/JEE Mains/CEE-AMPAI-WB and given admission accordingly.
