Akshat Bhargava's Review On Maharaja Agrasen Institute Of Technology - [MAIT], New Delhi

I took IPU-CET entrance test and scored a very decent rank of 847. With this rank I got admission in MAIT which is one of the best colleges under IP university. I opted for this college as this was best in the IP university with nice Infra and faculty and also a decent placements.

In our college we have to undergo Internship and training two times .One after 2nd year and other one after 3rd year. As my college is not in the league of IITS and NITS not lots of companies came for internship. But, our college has ties with different training Institutes which provide wide range of training on various courses like Embedded, VLSI and lots more.

Placements stats are quite good of our college . Around 35 companies visited for campus placement for 700 students.Companies like Microsoft, Accenture , infosys , Cvent , EnY and many other major companies were there and average salary offered was 4.5 lpa.

There were two fests which our college holds first is technical fest called TECHSURGE and other one is cultural fest called MRIDANG .In technical fest various technical competitions were held like coding mania, robowars , designing competiitons in which a lot of students from various colleges participated.

Fee was feasible and was 97250 per year which comes out to be 48625 per semester which is not so quite expensive compared to other private colleges.During 1st sem security and admission fee was also there so it was 111000 for 1st year.

Various banks provides loan facilities for the fee payment of the college with a less interest rate.College also provide recognitions and rewards for meritorious students like distributing of free laptops to the students who got 95% marks in 12th standard and also providing laptops at 10k rate to the students with 90% marks.

The overall campus life was fun and enthralling. Gender ratios was not so good though being an engineering college. It was around 1:12.Various workshops were held which was quite informative and organized by IITS and various research institutes like in communication field and GTUG (Google) Java basics.

There were a lot of interaction with seniors as there were same building in which classes for every year took place .No ragging was there and there were strict rules about that.Seniors were quite friendly and helpful. Regarding alumni network , there is an association in which alumuni of the college is a part of and they visit our college time to time for the interaction with the students.

Exam structure was quite chilled out . There were 2 internals exams for each subjects in the semester for 30 marks each which took place in 3 months and 14 marks was passing marks .And there was a final exam of 75 marks for each subjects. Similary, with the practicals subjects as well.
