Remarks

Good faculty is very cooperative, Director and Principal both were available any time to discuss any matter with them personally. Bad the fees was very expensive parking issue in our campus.

Entrance Preview

I took CET for BJ(MC) from IPU. My rank was 4074.I was already working as an freelance professional Emcee/Anchor so I decided to choose BJ(MC) to cherish my skills and to learn professional knowledge for the industry. I selected Maharaja Agrasen because of its nice Infrastructure and facilities. Secondly it was near to my place.

Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication is totally a professional course other than the technical and management courses, in BJ(MC) we can actually learn and earn together field exposure, media training and development & physical testing of equipment were provided to learn this course more practically our faculty is one of the best Media professionals we have in our industry.

Internships Opportunities

As I mentioned earlier too that I was already working as a Professional Anchor so luckily I never needed to work as an intern anywhere i was already working on projects of print and electronic media.

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities of this course is too good but the salary offered to the freshers is not that good compared to other courses our was the first batch of BJ(MC) so we never had campus placement opportunity.

Tarang is one of our best college festivals of IPU.

Campus life is one of the best days anyone can experience you get freedom from your home you go to the parties, go for bunks, make good friends and hang out for outings. You learn and earn together, fell in love with your crush and enjoy breakups too. Our college comes under IPU so there was no proper political agendas to be experience.

We were the first batch of BJ(MC) so we din't had seniors from our course. But seniors from other courses were cooperative.

Students become eligible from 4th year to sit in placements. Famous companies like NDTV, News 24 , India today, ABVP,etc comes for placement. Highest package was 1200000 per annum and 300000 per annum is average package. Profiles offered are reporter,research executives, content creator, anchor, field reporter,etc I will go for anchoring after completing the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

The Glimpse of DSJ

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.

Placement of our college is pretty good almost 80% students get good placement but at the same time its very important to know that you will get college placement at end of you masters as DSJ provides Five year integrated programme in journalism. If you exit your college after bachelor you might get placement from outside campus.
