Remarks
Good aspects are because all the faculties and facilities are really good and very helpful with sound knowledge about the subject they are teaching us and can solve our difficulty at any time. The bad aspect is just the fees which are mammoth in total and is almost impossible to pay for the middle-class families when we include hostel and mess. I took admission here through ACPC rank in round 3 held at LD COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. I preferred this college because one of my relatives suggested it very high in all aspects. I did not go through any blog, forum or website while selecting this college, in fact, I myself visited the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in Civil engineering from the very beginning. We are given faculty advisor per 10 students which is a very good thing for students and it is rare in any other colleges.each and every faculty are PhD qualified with a lot of experience and that makes it very easy for us when they are explaining us all the contents of the course. We are having two exams in the term one mid-semester exam and other end semester exam. If you know how to do smart work with fewer load exams are easy to crack. Also if your concepts are clear you can easily pass the examination.
Internships Opportunities
NAGARJUNA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, JAIPRAKASH ASSOCIATE LTD, GMR GROUP, and some more companies like this and trainee level roles are offered at the companies for students to understand and gain practical knowledge as much as possible. There are no stipends provided at BTech level.
Placement Experience
From 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Major companies like LARSON & TOUBRO Ltd., ONGC, BYJUS, DLF, TATA PROJECTS and many more companies visited for hiring students with 80% of the students getting placed. The highest package offered is about 7-8 lacs per annum and the average package is about 5 lacs per annum. My plans after getting a B.tech degree is to get job as this university provides high chances of getting placed at a better place.
Fees and Financial Aid
PDPU offers great help in fees reduction if you study well and stand in top 7 of your batch you can get a 50% scholarship. And another scholarship from the Gujarat government is provided to the students like MYSYS and TFWS for economically backward students who want to study in our college.
Campus Life
There are 2 fests conducted in our university 1) Tesseract- TECH FEST 2) Flare- CULTURAL FEST with tech fest in the month of November and flare is held in the month of April. There are 2 libraries in our University where you can get all the needed books and journals and the environment to read in the library is great. All classrooms are air-conditioned and projector equipped which makes it easy for students to study. Every year Gujarat's greatest sports event is held in our University named PETRO CUP where teams from all other universities come and show their skills and the team winning maximum no. Of games wins the petro cup. PDPU contains so many clubs in which students work together for every small or big event are held in college and also seminars are held for various important topics whenever they feel good.
Hostel Facilities
All the rooms are air-conditioned and along with LAN internet facility and wifi with the great speed. The meal in mess is a blessing for students as here the mess is best compared to any other universities in Gujarat. Hostel registration was done with check payment and the fees are affordable when you see at the facilities they provide.
