Remarks
A reputed college, near my home are the two main factors. I like the atmosphere of the college as well as the company you get. There are various activities happening in which you can actively participate. I opted the course because that was the only one my marks allowed me to opt.
Course Curriculum Overview
Though the course curriculum is quite up to date with standards it needs a lot of further improvement. Faculty is aptly educated and quite knowledgeable but needs to adopt newer teaching methods to teach students. Teachers need to be trained to learn some different techniques to engage students interest.
Placement Experience
There are more non core companies available to the 4 below branches then core companies. Like management positions, software engineers position etc. We get jp morgan, goldman sachs, zs associates, till last year mckinsey.
College Events
You will find many various types of groups in the college which will be introduced to you orientation, but if you miss the orientation you might not even know about the existence of some group till your last year. It has one of north india the biggest fest "Pecfest" With various competitions happening and many colleges coming from different corners of the country to participate. Though its level has been declining for the last few years, it still can maintain its fame and enthusiasm.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is in good shape as well as the classes are in comparatively better conditions. New technology such as smart boards are being incorporated it some classrooms but need to installed in all the classes. Wifi is not available everywhere in the college, though where it is you can find a good speed. Library is big but as the no. Of students are increasing a larger seating capacity is required. Though library doesn,t have enough or many times any of the teacher assigned course books. Labs need to renovated as many small time equipments are not fit for use or are not available.
