NIT Jalandhar is undoubtedly one of the best engineering colleges in India. Located outskirts Jalandhar and more in the laps of Amritsar, it has one of the finest placements onboard comparing with thousands of engineering colleges of India. More importantly, being an industry prone region, broadens the scope for a campus visit by top-notch companies of India helping students more in inclination to the opportunities. I choose Mechanical Engineering (minor degree in Automobile Engineering) potently because of my deep interest and inclination towards understanding the practical aspects and technicalities which makes automobiles. In simple words, cars and bikes are a love! And what better would have been then NIT Jalandhar where you would learn the technical aspects along with an impeccable placement at the end of your four years

Course Curriculum is more in inclination with MHRD guidelines. Academics and Faculties usually opt for vigourous testing procedure which is good for overall development of a student. Faculties have a legit experience in solving complex problems and are specific in their field of specialization. There are 2 minors and a major exam for accessing a students potential. The academic exams usually revolve around what is being taught in the class.

The placements at NITJ are comparatively good for most of the branches. CS had the best placements followed by mechanical and even textile technology. So even if you are an average student you can get decent enough placement. Top mechanical industries visit college for placements such as hero motocorp, Maruti Suzuki etc. Overall the placements are a fab.

#NAME?

Not really. I haven't opted for any scholarship as such. There are however different scholarships available for meritorious students which students opt based on income of there family in alignation with the rules of MHRD.

NIT Jalandhar has a campus of around 195 acres but is beautifully designed and well-implemented. There is enough greenery in the campus. It has a big ground, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton courts in hostels. The IT building and administrative blocks are also good to look at. Campus though is not fully wifi connected however, Mega Girls and Boys have wifi access along with the college I.T. academic building.

Hostel Infrastruture is impeccable with more than 15 buildings for both boys and girls for accomodating around 1000 plus students on board. Because of separate hostel for 1st year students, there were many restrictions also. Hostel Timings would not be same as the whole campus. Also, there is no LAN connection in Hostel-1 (during our time it was not there). 1st year students stay in either Hostel-1 or Hostel-2. Comparatively H-2 is better in terms of timings and LAN
