Good Academics and an awesome campus. VNIT ranks in the top 5 NITS in India also is near to my hometown. ECE was the branch I was seeking for and No other top NIT's were there where I could get it. So I preferred VNIT keeping in mind its academic excellence and lush green campus
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum us up to date. The course coordinators put on a lot of effort into maintaining the modernity of the course and always try that this curriculum should help students to be a good engineer. I have some issues with the facilities. The facility standards are not up to the mark. Academics is the part where VNIT has always praised so no doubt about its quality.
Internships Opportunities
Yeah, I have been campus ambassadors for the international MUN festival a couple of days before.
Placement Experience
Placements as above mentioned are quite a descent. Every year companies like L&T, Tech Mahindra, Goldman's Sachs etc visit the campus for placements. The average placement salary in VNIT is 9 lakhs per annum which is great. The alumni network is quite good and they keep on helping the students both financially and mentally.
College Events
I just started my campus life. Basically, I am a 1st year student. Campus life is like that wonderful experience which for me should bever end. VNIT is fully contained with extracurricular activities including the department gathering, Institutional Gathering, The central Indias largest Cultural fest AROHI, the Tech fest AXIS and the Entrepreneurship(Management) Fest CONSORTIUM. All are basically Central Indias largest Fests and teams from all over India gather around to be a part of them.
Fees and Financial Aid
College offers a scholarship program for some selected students belonging to the economically weak section. Also, VNIT has a huge network of ALUMNI which also helps these students with financial help. Also, VNIT follows the standard government policy which is a tuition fee waiver scheme for students whose annual income is less than 5 lakh rupees.
Campus Life
Campus Infrastructure is awesome. You could always roam the campus and trust me it is the most fun part. The lush green campus allows you to chill if you are depressed. The campus is not a full wifi campus. The library is good I'll prefer not to say best but ya it is quite good. Labs are well equipped. VNIT also contains a robotics lab which is quite an awesome experience being their.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is quite good. For 1st and 2nd years a room occupies two roomies. For 3rd and 4th year students, it is singly occupied. It is very easy to avail of Hostel facilities. VNIT has a separate department named HOSTEL SECTION which deals with all management and accommodation in the hostels.
