This is one of the best engineering college.as we know that in India iits are the best technical hubs so I prefer to take admission in this college.also environmental condition is good in the campus.it is the best institute for mining and petroleum engineering in India and in Asia.its nirf ranking is also very good.it bags 15th position in nirf ranking.placement scenario is good.one reason for me is that it is close to my home also.

Course sllyabus is fully updated.in fact the college has a very good academic team which deals with all the academics.also due to this lockdown, our college had issued the next session calendar which shows they are better at their work. we are getting enough industrial exposure as there are labs of the manufacturing process and all other departmental labs, but yes they need to be better in terms of the availability of new machines and devices. faculties are best with vast knowledge all with PhD degrees since I had only passed one year in college so I can't tell more about this but many faculties are good including- Shishir Gupta, Dina Bandhu Pradhan, Mr Sagar pal and many more

The placement scenario is good but not the best. many companies visit the campus including-Microsoft, including Samsung r&d, Arista network, Adani enterprises, Barclays, zs associates, cairn India,cil, Hindustan,ongc, Oyo and a lot more. more than 70 companies participate in this.

Our college has many sports clubs technical and cultural clubs. every year a lot of events take place and they are just great.our college hosts north Eastern best fests every year.these includes- khanan(mining fest),concetto(techno management fest),parakram(sports fest),basant(fest for alumni),srijan(cultural fest).many colleges from all over the country participate in these fests. the budget is also good. A lot of participants come from outside of these tests.

There is a fee waiver facility for poor students whose annual income is less than 5lakhs. students whose annual income is less than 1lakh gets a 100%fee waiver, below 2lakhs gets 75% and below 5lakhs per annum gets a 50% fee waiver.there is another scholarship also for different categories which can be availed. talking about loans any bank can give you a loan for this college.

Everything is inside the campus whether it be sports related or cultural clubs or technical clubs. infrastructure is very good. We get 24*7 wifi in our hostel but yes there is a data limit, the speed of the internet is also good, library size is the best in this country. actually, our college has Asia's largest technical library. equipment in labs is also updated but yes some need to be updated yet.

Hostels are available for every student and there is plenty of rooms so no need to take pg's.there is sharing of two students in a medium sized hostel room.there is separate hostels for every year students,separate hostel for girls is available.talking about the mess food it is same as it is at other places.it is good but you will feel bored after eating for a long time regularly.food quality and quantity both are good but not best I say.
