The Asansol Engineering College or AEC is a self-financing college in West Bengal, India offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering and Technology and other allied fields. It was established in 1998 by The Academy of Engineers as a joint venture between the JIS group and the Techno India group.
Course Curriculum Overview
Asansol engineering college is one of the top engineering colleges of west bengal. Here teachers are very well educated and labs are too good. In recent years, the placement of the college has fallen down. But TCS as a mass recuiter comes and takes a lot of students from CSE,IT and ECE departments. Placement of the college is 60% for the year 2017. Average pakage is 3.5lpa.
Placement Experience
Placements in our college are average, and about 50-60% of the students got a job in the company. Other 40-50% of the student will get a very low paying job. Our college is good for all other things like faculty, education but its placements are not good. Our college is not good for placements.
College Events
All types of events are conducted at our college. Annual sports, cricket tournament and a football tournament, are also conducted. All other sports activity are conducted by the faculty members. It is a great place
Campus Life
The college is very good and one can easily get admission here. The cutoff for CSE branch is very competitive. For getting admission here one have to sit for wbjee exam and get an average rank approx above 20,000. Placements are average.
