A College Experience

Great infrastructure and a unique feel of hostel life which you get only in a residential program are the USPs of Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME) Shirpur Campus. It is better than tier 2 and tier 3 colleges of Mumbai in many aspects.

I took NPAT. I opted for this college because the Course named MBA TECH strike my ears for the first time and seems interesting.

Course curriculum is good and well maintained.It provides complete and equal weightage to each and every subject.

College comes up with the 4 weeks of TIP (technical Internship Program) and for MBA Tech student along with 4 weeks of TIP it also has 20 week MIP (Management Internship Program) with some of the most reputed firms.

Placements at NMIMS Shirpur campus are pretty good. Students who manage to maintain decent acads 60% and above and represent themselves well in the interviews (i.e can speak English) definitely get a job. Average package is around 4 Lakh per annum and 90% of the eligible candidates get placed. Standard mass recruiting IT companies like Accenture,Tech Mahindra and Infosys are seen here.

College holds two major event AMBIORA (Technical event of the college),Protsahan (Cultural event of the college) Ambiora the techfest of NMIMS Shirpur was marked as the fastest growing fest in India. The innovations by the great minds of Ambiora have put Shirpur on the map of India. In the year 2014 Ambiora had a record footfall of 10,000 people, which was 50% more than the than the previous edition. Ambiora brings experts and students of different backgrounds together to create a competitive ambience in our college.

In Shirpur campus for B.Tech students current fees is around Rs 160000 and for MBA Tech degree the fees is Rs 250000 all of the above fees is excluding the hostel and mess charge. Fees for mumbai campus is slightly higher than shirpur campus.

Scholarships are provided for meritorious students and there are further schlorships for girl student and the student who need some financial help. Further their is no such direct loan facility offered.

Shirpur campus is equipped with world-class classrooms,lounges,laboratories,hostels and playgrounds and a large library with access to repositories of knowledge across the world. The newest additions are a CNC-equipped workshop,electronics creative labs,numerous SW capabilities and tools,high speed Internet and Wi-Fi and a BOSCH-Rexroth Automation and Mechatronics Centre of Excellence.

Hostel facilities are far better as compared to some other colleges. Hostel rooms are neat and clean and their is daily cleaning of rooms. Mess foods are also of good quality and their are variety in foods. Their is also arrangement of special food on weekends.

Exam structure is good, students get complete time to study for exam. Sometimes it become hectic when their is less time gaps between exams. Further labs and the daily routines are well maintained for a perfect study and enjoyment.

Faculty plays a major role in maintaining the course curriculum and the faculty of MPSTME are doing it well. Major faculty are well educated and are well experienced for their work. They are supportive and helps student to deal in every matter.
