Because of its reputation, and it's one of the first medical college to be opened in Puducherry, also the sister institutions have great name as well. I opted for MBBS because it was my ambition to do serve the country to serve the people.
Course Curriculum Overview
The education quality is good but it lacks infrastructure and basic facilities as well, the hostels need mass improvement, the class rooms as well the faculty is very nice and very helpful, their knowledge level is great only problem is lack of infrastructure and facilities.
Internships Opportunities
We have an in college intership programme which teach us all the basic health care management
Placement Experience
Since it's a degree college there is no in campus placement, but but our seniors and the alumini I have told us that we have a great hospital management which help us to get a job in our hospital itself and they prepare well for PG entrance exams also our college teachers let present teachers were before alumini of our college itself and their knowledge level is very held so it's great that's no that's what I say and also I have worked in foreign countries like Britain and oven of professor he got his leg he is he has done surgery from royal College of London and all the other prestigious colleges Soya we have great element reference
College Events
We have yearly cultural festival with lots of programmes with night DJ and all along with sports competition.but about the participation only the college students are allowed to participate. It's kind of decent for a college fest, but the money they take from us and the output they show is not justified. Anyways we have fun.even though it's not as great as it's supposed to be.but still.we ahve our own ways to manage things around here.seniors are blessings to us.
Fees and Financial Aid
No there is no scholarship or loan or discount. But we can get loan from bank and present a certificate from college. that's what I know about this thing. They are very strict regarding their fee payment and they keep fine if fees is not paid on due date.
Campus Life
The college and hospital are quite big, but we don't have a campus as such, the college hospital and hostels are situated nearby but not in same campus, there are sports facilities and we participate is numerous sports competition inter and intra college. The wifi is said to be provided but is not provided yet. The best part of the college is it's library.I love it.it's great.I spend most of my time inside library and as hospital canteen is nearby often go to have coffee from there (which is great by the way ). We have all the functional labs.the only problem is lack of infrastructure, because of this 2 department have to share one lab ( micro amd physio).
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is disaster, lack if infrastructure, food is not good, very less options for vegetarians although non veg is also not very great but still. Initially 3 people used to share the room but now it's 2 since they added one more floor and many of students including me left the hostel and live in PG now, which is way better than hostel. There was no proper water supply leave bathing even drinking water was not good and I used to have fights with warden over it, (she is not helpful at all). Our yearly hostel fees was 1,50,000.not worth it. It's very strict hostel they won't even allow us to go out of the hostel for getting basic needs until our parents msg them and deadline was 6 pm
