Remarks
PEC has a good reputation, it's economically viable, near to home and I gave preference to a unique course I was getting at PEC. Also PEC has a rich history of producing notable alumni and it has amazing cultural clubs that provide holistic development of personality.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course syllabus according to me is relevant and updated. Yes we were provided enough industrial exposure although I think more exposure to research side of our branch could have been provided. Faculty is fine, some are good and some are okayish. I liked Dr. Uma Batra in my faculty. She really put effort to teach us concepts and make examination with thought. Most professors just put same questions every year.
Internships Opportunities
I opted for a research internship for six months at UNSW Sydney. I have no stipend. The process to get the internship was sending my cover letter and resume to the professors who are doing something I would like to be a part of.
Placement Experience
Opportunities for my branch can be more. More companies can be called and more exposure towards research should be given. Students should be made aware about the option of higher studies. Much better than jumping to small jobs.
College Events
College life was the most amazing part of my life. PEC is like a my home. So much warmth. I remember laughing, studying and just enjoying life. The cultural events are amazing. I am more into social service and I think PEC has provided me an amazing opportunity to serve people, teach underprivileged kids, spend time with visually impaired people, I have loved the change it brought in me.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have merit scholarship since I came to college. The criteria for merit scholarship is to score maximum cgpa in your respective branch. This scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver. Other than that I know alumni scholarships, I got one based on merit. It's usually an amount of money you are given by the alumni committee.
Campus Life
I am not into sports so don't know about that. Hostels can be majorly improved. The girls hostel can be made more spacious, right now there are 4 girls in a room. They are humans not sheep to be hurdled in a place. Also sanitation is below average. Hostel food must be more hygienic. WiFi is fine, labs can be spent money on. They need it. We need more testing equipment. Size of library is fine. Library is good.
Hostel Facilities
Nope, I was not in hostel. I am a day scholar. But I have been to hostel so I know that the rooms need to be more spacious, the food quality needs to get better. The water filter needs to be regularly cleaned and girls should be made feel safe.
