Remarks

Because it is situated nearest to my locality. It is a very old college. People studying here are in great places. Facilities are average. With best surroundings and environment. This is best I could get with rank I scored.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum are updated by Indian universities standard though very far from industry. We have industrial tours internship within the state as Jharkhand is resourceful for all students other than cse/It.Again average faculties according to Indian college's after IIT. Some teachers are really good like Dr.D.P.Mishra Dr. Shailesh Kumar Dewangan

Internships Opportunities

Cse/It enjoys here as lot student recieves internship thought campus t&p portal. Few non core companies also provide paid internship on campus. Other students go for off campus internship or referal.

Placement Experience

Quite good for comuter science and it students. Ece students also are decently placed. Electrical placement are good. Non core placement are little less. Though some reputable non core like Tata, Vedanta and automobile companies visit. Also few consultancy companies visit campus.

College Events

Technical Fest are average, not receive participation from our colleges around the state. Sports Fest - Excellent and hosts around students from 30 other colleges. Though lack some management. Cultural Fest - Good, It also doesn't recive participation as it should receive. Around 10-15 college participates. Lacks management as it has good budget. A lot of other extracurricular activities takes place. College life is decent.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarship for students scoring good in academics whose parents income is less than 3 lakhs. Also there are loans offered by banks at rates little less than normal colleges at is consistently listed in good colleges list.

Campus Life

Large campus more than 1000 acres. WiFi and lan - Quite decent connection in all hostels and around campus. Library are decent but reserve people enjoy all facilities. Way too restrictions for general section. Sports average - Big sports Complex with good basketball, badminton courts, football,cricket, no proper space for indoor sports like chess, tt, carrom,bad tennis court, A well equipped gym. Lab equipment are good but not proper management

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure are average. Very easy to avail hostel facilities.Less spacious for first year students.Students have single room from 2nd year. Hostel have good space around them with volleyball cricket badminton court.

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More
