Remarks

Very reputed college in West Bengal. At the time of admission it was ranked seventh among all private colleges. I live nearby and that's a major criteria for me. I spend only 20 rupees up and down and that's all.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members in our college are very good, and they all interact with students. They are helpful, and they understand everything. Some teachers are not of good quality like lab assistants do not give us the total information of the device or a particular machine. Other professors are good here.

Around 70% of students got placed from college in the previous year. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. TCS is the top recruiting company of our college. Roles offered are as an electrical and mechanical engineer. IN our course, the highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Around 60% of students got internships in our college.

College Events

I am from electronics and communication branch. The best things about the course is that you learn about the electronics circuit which help students to get job. The college conduct Fest every year. Besides that college have many extracurricular activities like robotics competition, cultural events.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
