Remarks

We cannot compare this college with the top premium colleges in India. But when you compare private college under West Bengal University of Technology, then Asansol Engineering College is the place where you pursue B.Tech. Not all teachers are good, but some teachers are up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the teachers are M.Tech and pursuing PhD. They are good up to some level but talking about their helping nature, it was very good. Course curriculum was similar with all the other colleges in India and relevant but it would not make the students industry ready.

Placement Experience

There are good placements for every department. Wipro, TCS, Amazon, etc, offer placements. Everyone will be graduated very well.The highest salary offered was 8 Lacs per annum and the lowest was 1.8 Lacs per annum and the average salary offered was 2.2 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting company is TCS. 5 percent students got internship from companies.

College Events

There are many tech clubs which will help anyone to be more practical to the technological world. There are good chances of learning many programming languages. Fest, sports, different celebration of poojas and many other activities take place.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
