Remarks

Asansol Engineering College has always been my dream college for BTech. The teachers, faculties are supportive and the college is known mainly for its placements. Getting into such a reputed college is not easy but I am glad that I got my chance.

Course Curriculum Overview

The campus is great and huge in size. The infrastructure is good too. We follow the syllabus laid by MAKAUT. Teachers are always there to help the students and act as a guardian to all. Even the non- teaching staffs are very friendly. Considering all these, I'll give academics a 10 on 10.

Placement Experience

As mentioned earlier, the placement cell is one of the best in India. We receive industrial training and there are so many workshops and seminars taking place. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Microsoft, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, Oracle, etc hire many students each year with an average package of 3-5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

Events are conducted in a grand way inside the college campus which includes Annual Fest, Dance Festivals, Freshers' Party and Farewell Party. Most of the students take an active part in all these events.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
