Remarks

Asansol engineering colleges by far the best engineering college in West Bengal. It has some prominent teachers providing us knowledge about the subject and also help us in reaching our goals. It has a huge placement cell with big companies hiring numerous students every year.

Course Curriculum Overview

Each year students score outstanding results. About 80% of the students have a CGPA of 8 to 9 which means excellent results. The professors and guest lecturers are very helpful and dedicated to their work. They always help us in enriching ourselves with knowledge.

Placement Experience

We have the largest placement cell in an engineering College in West Bengal with the biggest MNCs as the recruiters. Each year students are hired with a package starting from 3 lakhs to as high as 12 lakhs per annum.

College Events

We have a huge campus with numerous buildings and great infrastructure. Events include the annual programme, sports day, freshers party, and farewell party, all of which are celebrated within the college campus with the active participation of all the students.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
