PESIT Bangalore south campus is the branch of the PES institutions in south bangalore,if someone wants to join a college so secure his future with safe and decent salary and not worrying about the real engineering knowledge,then it the best destination.But if you desire to be a perfect Engineer for future then,sorry.
Entrance Preview
KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) Percentage 80%. I choose PESIT-BSC because at the time of seat selection i had enquired a lot about the various good colleges in bangalore. And i finally decided to go with PESIT-BSC as it was the correct college for my marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and syllabus in VTU is very much outdated, they course study was all about marks and scoring marks in vtu according to me is just about mugging up the entire syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
Our college had not provided any internship opportunities for its students. As VTU doesn't allow you to do any intern ship (Because of heavy scheduling and its attendance rules).
Placement Experience
Many companies visit the college some of them along with their details are as follows: company Package(Rupees) Microsoft - 10L, Code Nations 24L, Cisco 10L, Accenture 3.5L, Capco 5L, Ebay 15L, Flipkart 12L
College Events
The principle of the college is very strict and gives very less importance for the enjoyment factor in the college, having said that one can also enjoy at some of the events like mentioned below. Acticity Day (inter branch competition) Maaya Festival (College Annual Fest) Hackathon (coding contest)
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was moderate for me because my admission into the college was through CET,but the fee structure looks horrible for people seeking admission into the college through a Management quota, the following are the details. *For cet entranceRs.45k per year*For management quotaRs.8L donation(one time payement)+ Rs.1.5L (comed-k fee paid annually).
Fees and Financial Aid
The college organizes the student exchange program where the good performing students (both in terms of academics and extra curriculum activities) are spotted and sent to abroad (namely US, Swiss and etc) on annual basis.
Campus Life
As mentioned above the principle of the college is very strict so the students may sometimes get the feeling that they in a high school,being a boy i had a decent experience as far the girls in the college is concerned,girls are normally pretty in the campus.Overall the experience will be a goodone.
Hostel Facilities
The college has the best hostel facilities, the rooms in the hostel are clean and spacious, Currently there are 160 rooms in the entire hostel with each room accommodating three people, there is a attached bathroom for every room. Finally, the best hostel in all of the bangalore colleges
Alumni/Alumna
The juniors and seniors of the college come together while organizing the events in the college,specially on maaya day and activity day.The seniors were supportive in all aspects.
Exam Structure
We have 3 internal assessment test, each test of max score of 25, for the safety purposes one must have a minimum of 15 in each subject.
Faculty
The faculty at PESIT-BSC was full mix of experience and youth,all was not good at PESIT-BSC,their were people who had pretty a good industry experience and also they helped students with their vital inputs and suggestions in all aspects. At the same time there were also those faculty members who took the classes for the namesake and just came to college for their salary, Finally i want to conclude saying that teaching at this college isn't that up to the mark,But enough to survive.
