Remarks

I have chosen B.Tech in CSE. This University comes in top 5 in Kolkata. Stone trending languages like python or PHP should be taught in college. Fests conducted here were amazing. Techno India college is known to host some of the best fests in the town.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers in our college were amazing. I was in the IT department. Some teachers were well-knowledgeable, but some were not so good. They tried to give their best, but it's up to you whether you want to learn things or not. The course curriculum is very easy to pass exams. Our HOD Piyal Sen was very kind to all and was an amazing teacher as well.

Course Fees: INR 648000 per year

Placement Experience

Around 40% were placed by the campus & Many didn't sit for the campus placement. The highest package was around 3.75 Lacs & the average was around 2.7 Lacs. The top recruiters are TCS, WIPRO, Radio Mirchi, etc. College only provides about 30% internship & others had to search on their own.

College Events

The infrastructure is very nice with lots of facilities available like A/C rooms, smart classroom, library, Audio room, studios & various other labs. The college doesn't have their own hostel facility but are tied with some private PG's and the food varies from PG to PG. The college has a canteen where the food quality is very nice.

Campus Life

Some facilities in our college were very good. Classrooms and libraries were not so good, but now they are well-renovated. The canteen was broken. We never got a chance to eat anything in the canteen.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
