Remarks

This is the best engineering college in my city, Asansol. I did not want to stay in any hostel and study. So i opted for this college. The ambiance is nice and the infrastructure is beautiful. And the placement cell is also very proactive.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers were very helpful. Some of the faculty members were very knowledgeable however some were too theory oriented. Teaching quality was okay. Digital methods of teaching need to be adopted. Course curriculum was vast however the course needs to be updated as per the latest technology.

Placement Experience

Around 60% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered by the companies was about 4.8 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. The average salary package offered was nearly about 3.2 LPA.

College Events

I was mostly attracted to the campus life of the college, and the campus surroundings are very crowded that you won't feel lonely. There are lots of clubs where you can join to explore the extracurricular activities in which you have the interest.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
